1.山田的版本分成了3个部分，变了3次调，分别是降 E 调，A 调和 F 调：
第一部分是从开始到第一段歌词唱完，这里是降 E 调。
第二部分是从第一段歌词唱完到第二段歌词开始之间的过场，这个时候音乐是 A 调。
第三部分是从第二段歌词到结束，音乐是 F 调。
2.第一部分是没有鼓的，鼓是从第二部分加入的。
3.长度变短应该主要为了配合动画画面，而且也不会占有太多的剧情时间，起到烘托气氛就成功了。三段变调是这首歌魔改最亮眼的地方。三个部分，三次变调，完美对应了威廉和珂朵莉 {{Color|#0000FF|''相识-''}}{{Color|#0000FF|''-热''}}{{Color|#FF0000|''恋-''}}{{Color|#FF0000|''-诀别''}}的过程。第一阶段没有很多的乐器进入，尤其是没有鼓，最开始只靠弦乐/竖琴/钢琴进行铺垫，就像珂朵莉威廉相互一点点认知的过程。这一段的山田在唱歌词的时候声线婉转，温柔。第二阶段没有唱，更多的乐器加入进来，尤其是鼓，为这首歌的剩余部分坚实的打起拍子，珂朵莉再也无法离开威廉，威廉也重新唤起了需要新生活的意志。在此音乐升为 A 调，表明他们的关系更进一步，由认识的朋友变成相爱的恋人。第三部分重新加入了歌词，在这一段唱，山田整个的声线相比第一段变得强硬，更加坚定，表现了珂朵莉为了心爱的人可以放弃自己的一切也在所不惜。此时音乐降为 F 调，表现了珂朵莉和威廉的关系再次进化，他们希望长相思守，但残酷的现实却走向了另一个方向。这一段所有乐器不在隐藏，整体的配乐就像倾盆大雨从天上狂泻而下，描写了珂朵莉义无反顾从船上跳下并最终牺牲的壮烈过程。最后的最后，山田用最温柔的声线唱出了Are You Going To Scarborough Fair 。“谢谢，威廉”“笨蛋”。珂朵莉永远离开了我们。从乐理上，E调/A调/F调 等同于 升c小调/升f小调/d小调。大家已经被这首歌折磨的不成样子了，肯定无法忘记这两次 Scarborough Fair 的画面：
（1）.第一集的时候珂朵莉最后要等上钟楼的时候上台阶戴着帽子的侧脸简直美爆了有没有。
（2）.两次放这首歌的时候蓝发珂朵莉回头的时间神同步，无比心碎。
两次集市的播放，第一集为了抓住看番的人，最后一集升华主题，都做得非常完满，从贴吧中的观众就可以体现出来，第一次入坑，第二次入院。
最后再提一句，Scarborough Fair 是所有 BGM 中唯一一首播放完整的 BGM ，也可以看出此 BGM 在此番的重要性。
